Dare to be different ! This is a very rare right hand drive 1956 Dodge U.S Mail Delivery Van . After being used up by the Government it was then used as a News Paper Delivery Van for the Radio Post located in Fredericksburg Tx and the name is still on the side of the van , but is faded . After that a lady got a hold of it and lived in it one year until her house was ready to live in . Ubove the left windshield reads Fageol Pony Express Twincoach . I found this sitting in Fredericksburg Tx where it has been sitting for 32 plus years . Allthough it had been sitting outside all of this time the rust is minumal with only a few pin holes here and there .The worst of the rust spots is located on the inside on the dash close to the windshield . The windshield gasket was cracked allowing water to get in and just sit causing this to happen over the years . This hole is about 3 inches x 4 inches see pic . This van has a flathead 6 cylinder engine that is seized at the moment . It also has a push button automatic transmission . The one and only seat that it had , the safety panel behind the driver , the air cleaner assembly , and the rear door handles are missing . The side doors slide open and close good and the rear door slides up and down as it should . This van needs a full restoration . The brake and gas pedals are frozen , but the van does roll . I have pulled a good running 360 with an automatic transmission with 64,380 miles on it out of an rv that i will let go with the van . I had some more specific information written down about this van , but i have lost it . I will get it tomorrow and post it . Any questions please ask before bidding . I will require a $200 non refundable payment through paypal within 24 hours of auctions end and the rest in cash when you pick it up within 7 days of auctions end . if you need more time to pick it up , i will accept a bank certified cashiers check for the rest and hold the vehicle until a time discused and agreed upon between me and the buyer .
